2007 MS3 - Possible Warranty Work

:
'07 Speed3 GT, '10 Mazda5 GT
I recently became the owner of a red 07 MS3 with ~60k miles. It's a blast to drive and no other car I've ever driven has put a smile on my face like it!

I know the warranty for smoking turbos and VVT timing chain was extended to 84 months/70k miles. My time limit to deal with these possible issues is approaching. Can/Should I take the car in to my Mazda dealership now while still under warranty? I'm not having any smoking or loose chain noise on startup at the moment, but my thoughts are that having the warranty work done would ensure that these issues wouldn't arise later.

I don't drive my car extremely hard, but can't resist punching the throttle once in a while. I have an intake installed, but no other mods. An oil catch can kit is waiting for warmer temperatures to install.

We have a 2010 Mazda5 as the 2nd car, so I'm not particularly worried about transportation while it's in the shop. However your experiences and time commitment of having this work done to your car are welcomed.
