Hi all - I originally had this post in ECU & Tuning, however the topic has moved from that of my ECU.
I have attached some pictures. Spec on the car, unfortunately its only a 1.6 petrol, DOHC. The red arrow on the pic indicates where the main air intake starts (well there is small gap from here to the front of the car) but you can see that this is different to N/A 1 in terms of the resonator being at the bottom.
I also added the TB pic, I am going to add a Ground wire to the TB bolt.
I have given thought about the CAI, and I think it will be cheaper and easier to install a SRI, since all the plastic for the stock air intake shall be removed, there shall be nice space for the SRI to sit comfortably where the arrow is.
How many nozzles (or whatever they called) will the SRI pipe need, ie for the MAFS and so on? Cos here in SA VW's are practically exploited so there is EVERYTHING available for a VW incl. a kitchen sink for a MK1 Golf (joke - close enough) but not really the newer cars, especially Mazda.
I shall have to make my own SRI pipe.
One other thing, is there an easy accessible place for a 12V supply in the car, going to install some blue neons under the dash on each side. Just wanted to ask before i start dismanteling, knowing my luck only to find there was a clearly marked set of wires... "12V For Neons", lol!!
