2002 protege misses when a/c is on

I'ts a 2.0L manual tranny model.
I changed plugs,wires and coils. drives fine,or at least I feel it running fine when the a/c is off,after I turn the a/c on and driving,I feel the engine miss.
I found a burnt wire on the a/c switch(a/c light would blink on 2,3 pos)
no check engine codes.
any ideas?? thanks

ok so the car hesitates when accelerating,I cleaned the EGR valve,used some seafoam. I'm going to clean the IAC in a few days. I guess the a/c just makes the hesitation more obvious.
I ckecked for vacuum leaks,none found.

Are you sure it's missing? You know the A/C compressor cycles on and off as needed, you can sometimes feel a little bump when it engages.

it hesitates a little even with the a/c off,I haven't done a load test. I did check the battery,starting system and charging system at work(I work at Autozone)
I'm going to try a MAF sensor just in case.
BTW,can anyone guide me to a post where I can see how to fix the problem with the a/c control knob( the wire in the back burnt out)
