17's

so you reccommend the MSP springs? they fit just fine on P5's? what do they usuaslly run as far as $$

A few words about MSP springs on a P5. First, they only give an even-looking drop when used with the MSP struts, which have a higher rear spring perch than other struts. If you don't use MSP struts the rear will drop more than the front, as you can see in the photo of the white P5 in an earlier reply.

This condition is exasurbated due to the different weight and weight distribution of the two cars. The P5 is about 50 pounds heavier in the rear (wagon action) and about 200 pounds lighter up front (no turbo).

Factoring in the weight, using this setup results in an effective stiffness increase of something like 21% up front and 8% in the rear, which would theoretically increase understeer. Nevertheless, a lot of people do the conversion (including autoxers) and are happy with it.

Here is what a P5 looks like with MSP springs and struts.

IMO a 3/4" drop looks good on 16s, but a little more is warranted for 17s.
