Just wanted to let you all know that the 14" BBS basket weave wheels from a 1993 Miata fits on the M2. I had a set in my garage so I figured I would try to install them. These wheels only weigh 8.5lbs (without tires) so it's a reduction in unsprung weight that a low hp car like the M2 really needs. I didn't have a scale to compare actual weight with the OEM steelies, but I picked them up together and the BBS felt a bit lighter.

Most people are increasing the wheels size, but I was happy to go smaller and save weight. It helped that I already owned the wheels and didn't have to spend any money. :)

I've been out to the track (www.harrishillroad.com) a few times trying to burn off the old tires I had on these rims (Toyo T1-R) so that I can replace them with 185/60/14 Dunlop Direzza Star Specs.

Sorry I don't have a way to attach a picture right now, but I'll try another time.

716, you look like you're prepping for rally with that set up.
Yeah that was the idea
716, cool! Need Moah height! Rally Armour mud flaps? I have those too.
I do wish there was a way to lift it and yea they are RA flaps
Did you have to run centering rings or anything? I'd like to be able to trade wheels with my E30 if I have to.
Nope just bolted them right up. I wasn't able to use my 5mm spacers in the rear though.

You just need a big light pod on the front and you will be ready to go off road at speed.

Heh, if I win the lottery that's what's happening to my 2. Or maybe to another 2 that I buy because I turned this one into a B-Spec car.

I was thinking about some rally lights on the front. The other day I went to the jy and there parking lot is gravel and it was wet, I was tempted to floor it but I don't want anymore damage to the body. I already have a cone scuff and a door ding that I'm not to happy about, this is my first new car and I want it pristine for as long as possible.

The cone scuff should come off, Get some bug and tar remover or mothers RRR. I have to use it after every race in the B-Spec car to get the rubber and pylon marks off the sides of the car.
