i'm very glad i went to the TriState meet this year with my baby....
seeing how it may have been last time, we'll see if she'll survive..
i sure had loads of fun with her and she never let me down, and she has surprised me few times the way she handles and performes... she may not have been fast by far, but she could handle and take them turns :) ...
today was not my day, on my way to work, well the pics will speak for them self........... hoping for the best


the engine wont start, and the tranny seems to be effed, i can go from R to
1st w/o even holding down the brake, easly....

yup it sure sucks. the funny thing is that there is NOT A SINGLE SCRATCH on the other car (chevy 15 packer)...... it happened just around the corner from my house, i was on my way to work, and i turned from a side street onto a main street, i turned into a yellow lane and accelarated to merge into traffic, the traffic ahead was just started to move, i accelarated a bit to much, up to about 35mph and as i got close to the traffic ahead (since they werent up to speed i tried to slow down but my brakes were mushy (after the tri state run) and tapping them didnt work, so i braked a bit to hard 2nd time and we all know what happens when you do that on a pavement, and to top it off road wasn't in the best condition (early in the mornings when temp is changing from cold to warmer) so pretty much the car just slid as if it was on ice, into the car in front... sucks... but i'm trying to keep my head up, and just trying to figure out where to from here, but that all depends after insurance sends someone to look at the car..... fingers crossed that she'll be back on the road soon, and wish me luck :)

as of rite now the demage is
well obvious front cover, bumper, radiator, radiator support, hood, fender, headlight, grill, engine wont start and tranny seems to be effed.

what you guys think? will they totall it or have it fixed?

If it was a Mazda 6 it would be totaled but a Prote is different. I did over $2,000 when I hit the guard rail and mine was fixable
 
the only thing that worries me is the tranny, cuz we all know they are $$$ even used..... i keep thinking around $3k - 3.5 to repair all... if thats how it goes down, maybe i can talk to the shop to put a MS lip instead of the regular hehe
 
i remember checking the value of the car a lil while ago, and if my memory serves me rite it said around 6k ... not sure
 
i just checked the KelleyBlue book and it stated for the model year, milage and all that, in excellent condition $9.5K

yup, its at the shop

will be fixed
i think the estimate only came in at 2,5k damage
tranny was fine, just the cable came undone. so it was stuck in drive and thats
why it wouldn't start..

only thing that sucks is i wont be getting that hood back, blaahhh

so next year tri-state is on :D

A lil JB WELD should fix that hood right up.
