Interesting, it is posted on Edmunds, and on "special offers" on the mazdausa site. This *may* be the incentive I need to purchase this now rather than when (and "if") these are hot sellers and dealers start adding "pinstriping" "protective paint coating" to pump the sticker price (read: profit). Don't know if the incentive will reappear or not when the diesel arrives later this year.

wow, that is pretty awesome on a brand new model change like that. I figured Edmunds goofed and it was supposed to be the 2013 models but sure enough on Mazda's site they've got:
"Current Mazda owners can get $1000 Owner Appreciation Cash toward the lease or purchase of a new 2014 Mazda6."

Looks like the offer ends 4/1/13, you think they will extend it? or should I not risk it? I was going to buy in the summer time.
