Our new CX-5 just crossed its 600 miles mark and we started to hear a very noticeable hissing sound when speed is above 40+ mph.
I had a separate alignment issue where the car would draft to the right, so brought the car to the dealer to get the car re-aligned and mentioned about the hissing noise. Long story short, alignment was out of spec and fixed for free (dealer said it's was very likely caused by shipping process when they tie the rods too tight, which I believe), but also said they can't reproduce the noise and that it might be the roof rails' extra drag (which is BS). I didn't want to push it this time as they fit me in last minute and was very nice about getting the alignment issue resolved. I plan to either go back soon or during my first service, but meantime, want to try to pinpoint the issue first.
I haven't been able to pinpoint it yet but sounds like its coming near the top/moon roof area. Does anyone else have similar experience?
