Hi guys,
So in my 48k service on my 2016 CX-5, the dealer gave me the report highlighting that I should change my rear discs and pads.
According to his report, I had only 3mm left on my rear pads.
He quoted 470 CAD so I decided to wait a little bit and get a second opinion.
I have 53k now and I just installed my winter tires and decided to verify the brake pads.
I'm no brake expert but I know a bit or two about mechanics.
Have a look at the pictures below, what's your opinion? Do I need to replace them ASAP?
I measured from the base plate and it looks like I have more 5mm rather than 3.
Also you can see that there's still a bit left before arriving to the wear plate indicator.
Thank you guys!!
