Any advantage of getting AWD over FWD in a city like Atlanta?

In my 2014 FWD I could hit up to 37 mpg on highway runs easily up until I had the trans swapped out at 32k miles, then I couldn't get past 32/33 highway. Still don't know if it was due to age or the trans swap. All around average for me was 30ish. My AWD I'm averaging around 27/28 and I'm at 1500 miles, haven't taken it on a trip yet but I expect to do slightly better. I'm getting as good as I was expecting and am quite pleased with my choice of AWD this time around.

Was your 14 2.0L?

Apparently it's just me???
but I get pretty sick city MPG when I drive conservatively in the city in my AWD....

Must be a mistake, what do you think you are driving, a CR-V? :)

Sorry, about the joke. What is your average speed? That is what I find correlates with MPG. With an average of 29 MPH, what I get driving around suburbia, I get about 26-27 MPG.

On this trip I'd guess it was around that. High 20s, a little low 30s.

Congrats! Beautiful car. We were down to Machine Grey and Sonic Silver and went the silver route due to being lazy in upkeep. Love Machine Grey!

Dimcorner: congrats on the car and excellent choice in color.
that Machine gray is really growing on me.
did you get parchment or black interior?
