Seatbelt

My driver's side seatbelt seems to be having issues. In order to get it to latch in place, I have to put it in, and then give it a hefty shove. Once in, it seems secure. However, I have to push on the red button extra hard and jiggle the buckle out. The buckle looks normal. The passenger side unit seems to operate smoothly. Is this at all repairable or do I have to buy a new seatbelt. If so, just how much do I have to get, and is it the same as a regular Protege?

Thanks!

I had some crap fall down into mine before and it acted the same way. Removed it, dumped it out and cleaned it as best I could with a small pick. Has worked fine since.

Might also suggest a quick shot of wd40.

But as stated above, they don't cost all that much, and safety first!

I lust replaced one in a friend's P5. She had the same issue as you, then it finally quit working altogether.
East fix! If you buy a used receiver, make sure the seller includes the wiring too.
