- 2015 CX5 Grand Touring
Well, I just read someone else have the same issue but I had a 2015 CX5 FWD Grand Touring w/ Tech Package. I had 24,111 miles on it and it died. The dealership called me and said it needed to be fully replaced.
I don't remember but my wife said there was a loud pop a few weeks ago. I don't remember it happening. When it died, I was driving from Atlanta to Memphis. I got about 30 west of Birmingham to get gas and when I got off the highway I could tell the transmission was slipping as it went into the lower gears. I got back onto the highway hoping to just get in gear and make it closer to home or at least civilization again since I was already kind of out in the middle of nowhere Alabama. I got off the highway closer to home and made it about 2-3 miles off the highway and then it completely died and had to call a tow truck.
It died on Friday, 3/25. The dealership said it needed to be completely replaced on Monday, 3/28. I've since traded it in.
