Driver's Side Mirror Damage

Gotta love the wife. While pulling into the garage, she clipped the driver's side mirror on the side of the garage door and our 2012 newish CX-9 has a nice ugly scar on the mirror. She hit is so hard that the plastic shell cover popped off. I was able to reinstall it, however it has a nasty scratch.

I may try to repair the scratch on my own, however I was curious if you can purchase the body-colored plastic upper shell vs. an entirely new mirror assembly that needs to be painted. Since it pops on/off, I would hope the part is available.

yes you can. I just replaced my passenger side cover for my 2010. order from dealer and it comes painted. cost about $70 if I remember correctly.

Thanks! The color is Liquid Silver Metallic (38P).

Dan, how about the inner part of a 2008 passenger mirror with BSA? My wife did the same thing except the part that cracked is the black inner plastic.
