Learned something new, though it wasn't outlawed. The only company that made it just stopped producing it.

So anything you buy now isn't really MAPP, it's some MAPP alternative. Explains why I thought the last couple tanks I bought didn't seem to work as well (takes me forever to go through a tank).

I used to work for a plumbing Co, and thats what the plumbing distributor told us. Mapp is all we used for soldering copper pipe, so it was a big deal when they stopped producing it. But the Mapp/Pro works decently enough. Alot better then straight Propane at least.

I put them or new ones back on and use ain't-seize on threads...doesn't seem to make a difference. PB let soak then some good whacks with impact screws always come free. Use the right tool and what do you know it comes out.
