Power Steering flush

I just syphoned the reservoir out, filled it with the new dex III fluid. Turned the car on, moved the wheel all the way left and then right a few times. Then I repeated it one more time. Do you think that's good enough?

Or should I be pulling a line and draining it all out at once?

Anyone actually do this on this car yet?

That sounds sufficient to me. Is the fluid in the reservoir cleaner?

That is the way we do it with our flush machine. Just do it a couple more times and you should see all new fluid. Try turning the wheel lock to lock 2 or 3 times between drain and fill.

yeah, guessed wrong on the supply/return line coin flip (loser)
big mess
I try to get the supply side rigged into a fresh quart of fluid, and the return rigged into a catch jug. start engine, for a FEW seconds. quart should be gone. then reattach hoses and refill resevoir, work the wheel as you said and clean up

I would guess that by suckin most of the resevoir your getting 1/4 ~ 1/3 of the system volume

you can do it that way, but its like doing water changes in an aquarium
