car had overheated and I was freaking out why so I'm replacing the thermostat for now. The car has been running okay for the past couple days. The day i did drive in dead afternoon with a/c blowing and stop and go traffic.


pulled out the thermostat and here are some pics...

misc. bolt just there for no reason... wtf..?

here are the pictures of the actual hose and the schematics that the dealership gave me. Look for the symbol "V"

The plastic hose is chewed up i guess from something and i found a hole that will cause my leak. I was so close to taking the car to the dealership today but I'd give myself another shot and these are the pictures. Mazda doesn't make this part anymore and
I either A.) have to put epoxy for plastic on it or
B.) buy a used one from somewhere in the country

Honestly, it's a great driving car. Adequate power stock, handles great with the crappy OEM all seasons, has a warranty and gets good mileage. A great DD for a single guy like me.

So my Mishimoto electric fan took a crap on me and smoked up. The ac fan not the engine fan. I'm not replacing them with mishimotos lifetime warranty. If they fail on 4 years time I'm not going with mishimoto. I am not satisfied with their products at all. Time to upgrade both fans. Maybe spal perhaps?

Autokonexion test fits. Clay Deen at deCaudellas is going to paint them and put them on. Hardware will be black to blend in. Not chrome or silver.
