2.0 conversion to 1.8 Coil Packs

This is my setup, the only reason i changed coils is that the stock coils would

overheat and start to miss. Havent had any problems with these, just

rearranging stuff to make them fit.

if you do plan on doing this...see if you can find a 626 valve cover...you'll be happier with the way it looks.

i'd like these. hmm..so both of you guys posted two different things. WHAT exactly do i need to do this. because if they're better, i'll get them....

so wait.... this will let me use generic magnacore and so on spark wires right? i wont have to get specialty ones like nology anymore will i?

cause i ordered some lame cheap ebay ones but they are made for like the classic spark plug set-up and not for our goofy coil packs.

about how much does this conversion cost?

well, when i bought them (3 years ago) the coils and bracket came together...apparently, not anymore...i'd go with his part #'s. they're probably more up-to-date...i'm not 100% about the wires, but i'm sure a mazda dealer can tell you which set will work.

i use the stock mazda NGK wires.

k, i ordered the 1.8 coil pack from napa and received confirmation that it has shipped. it was $38 from them, so we'll see what it looks like when it gets here.

Yeah, i also bought my coils from online mazda parts. Also the bracket comes

with the coils so no need for that, and as for wires you can use OEM mazda

but i bought NGK.

Does the 626 valve cover fit the P5's??

yes. direct bolt-on.

So to some up where I get the parts for the 1.8L coil pack conversion. I need to get a 2000+ 626 valve cover which I can get from a junk yard, and njaremka said I can get the 1.8L coil pack from NAPA(I would rather get the parts locally if I can)?? Does that come with everything I need??
