I just replaced my hatch this afternoon and found that after getting everything wired up that my car sees the hatch as open when closed. I am trying to figure out what part of the door sends the open closed signal.

Interestingly enough I have a viper anti-theft. If I open the door when the system is armed the viper sees the door opening and sets off my alarm.

Any Ideas?

make sure the latch on the body and the hatch line up straight. mine did the same thing after an accident forced me to replace the hatch. it felt closed, but it really wasnt.

Actually after half an hour re-aligning the door and metering the latch for signal I was moving the car back in the garage and noticed that the door pin switch on the driver door was snapped. So it was all a misdirection
