Great, thanx!!! (breakn) I'll have to check if to see if they have any kind of warranty!

^ i also have used the ebay kits, and also had one of the more expensive kits back in the day when they were starting to get popular, the ebay kits are nearly as good only thing to caution you about is i've noticed the color temp rating seems to be different in the cheap kits compared to the more high end kits
for example a 10000k in a cheap kit is often the same color as a 6000k kit in a more expensive kit, but you could always get the hardware from the cheap kits then buy replacement bulbs that are better quality which often works quite well and saves money for those on a budget

Thanks for the info, here's what I found;

I see you have the Falkens, me too although I run on the 912s. Awesome tires so says me and Consumer Report.

Yeah, the Falkens have been really good, although I never actually had the Potenzas on MY car (they were bald when I bought, and I had the broker put the Falkens on new before I picked it up), I think they were a good substitute. Terrible in snow though, right now I'm on Hankook W300's for winter.

I am actually thinking about using a conversion kit like these found here:

http://hidwholesaler.com/nsort.asp?sort_id=21&nsort_id=100

anybody have any experience with these? (uhm)

I don't have any real experience with this yet, but I have been looking at upgrading my stock HIDs to an aftermarket kit, and someone posted a link to this site on another forum, which has some pretty great pricing on DDM and Apexcone kits... I don't know exactly how much is involved in converting from halogen, but have a look around and at least it might be another option for you: http://www.ddmtuning.com/hidkihidbuhi.html

Thanx OJ, (bowdown) There's nothing wrong with more options! Being that they are halogen projectors, it should be a fairly simple switch like changing a bulb (and mounting the ballasts). I have a pretty sharp cut-off now and I know it will only be amplified by the HIDs so I am really looking forward to that. I just want to put some more light (white light) out there in front of me.

To any of you that have done the conversion: did you take the bumper off? I seen arguments for installing both with and without taking the bumper off.

Yo I got a 06 6er wanting to convert over to HID! What types of bulbs and where can I find a conversion kit?
I saw some pretty good deals on ebay, just do a little research on what kind of lightening you want...personally I like the 6000k (which is a bright white) but it's up to you if you want coloured lights or not.

I was hoping someone would have answered this!! I'm about to do a HID conversion install. Everything I've read says remove the bumper. It looks like you can get right in there without removing the bumper if you have small hands; OR, come in through the wheel well.

Question on H3 or H1?

I have a 2005 Mazda 6 Sport Hatchback. Is the fog light H3 or H1. I am confused. Also, could I replace but the lowbeam an fog light with ddm 55w without overheating? Would I have any problems running to sets of aftermarket HIDs?

Thanks.

Without looking at specific light output for those bulbs, it's hard to say. At 35w, I'm not sure if one will be brighter than the other.

Just keep in mind, color (in K) does not equal brighter bulbs. You need to look at the light output (in lumens), and the higher the number, the more usable light.
