Question on how many quarts of oil I should put in... I recently change the oil from my brand new CX9. What came out was only 4 quarts. So, should I be putting back 5 quarts or 4 quarts?

Nope. Definitely not a seam. Its in rectangular shape, slightly above the bottom. So hard to describe it. I'll try to take a picture, if I can find my crappy camera.

I notice at the bottom of the Cup Holder. The ones in the front seat, has a slot at the bottom of it. I reach in but couldn't feel anything, other than that its angle slightly upward. What is that slot for? Was it suppose to cool my drinks? (cheers)

Yup. You have to trim the bumper, but i think it has some guide lines molded on the inside...You probably have to double check to confirm.

I think the click you hear is probably the relay within the harness. I heard it from my too.

how much material should remain on the brake pad before replacing? I heard that the pads shouldn't be worn down below 4mm. Is this true?

This reminds the time my friend took his truck on a trip to Death Valley and his A/C broke during the trip. He came back half cooked and needed 2wks to recover from all the heat problem.

Just wondering...what other tranny fluid is compatible with the cx9. If you just do a drain and fill, can you mix fluids?

On the flex the ecoboost verion were DI and Twin Turbocharged. That's why I am so suprise it was able to return the same Mpg and an addition of nearly 100hp, compare to the standard 3.5L

I did similar thing. I bought some 10'x10' outdoors floor mat from Homedepot, cut them to the same shape as the capet. They are similar in color so my wife didn't even notice them until I told her. I even put some binder clips around the edges to make sure they don't move and they never do...
