OMG! Power Windows not working! READ THIS BEFORE POSTING!

Check the fuse for the power windows, it may be blown. If that doesn't fix it, you may have to take the door apart and check the wiring and motor.

    Best Brake Options for MS6??

This forum doesn't see a lot of traffic anymore...I only check in every couple of weeks, and I'll probably give that up soon. Slotted rotors aren't worth it unless you're tracking the car heavily and need the cooling. For daily driving, canyon cruising and light track duty the stock brake...

What have you done to your MS6 today?

Heh, join the club, though it hasn't been two years yet. I have the rear diff mounts and sway bar to install as well, think I'll do them first and drive it for a while and then put the shocks/springs in. Though I'm not really excited about doing the mounts and sway bar, that's a crazy amount...

    Trouble Code P2187

There was a TSB about the purge valve that caused that code. It's a free replacement at the dealership if you're under warranty, don't know if they might still do it if you're not. It might not be worth it for you to stock out and have them fix it, but it's worth considering...or just replace...

    MS6 Alarm Issues

Th shock sensor is mounted on the left side of the steering column under the dash, and has an adjustable dial you can use to set the sensitivity. If the car has it, you can lock it and smack the windshield to set the alarm off. The way to set the sensitivity is take a tennis ball and drop it...

    Ssp 86/87

Yep, I got it too. Everyone should be eligible, even if you don't receive a notice in the mail...check with your local dealership.

    No Gas

If a car has enough torque and the RPMs stay high enough then it can start itself in motion without giving it gas. I regularly let the clutch out a bit to move out of the garage when the RPMs are still high while the car is warming up in the morning, and I don't normally have to give it gas, or...

2007 Mazdaspeed6 Grand Touring ECU Problem?

That sounds like there is a grounding wire or short problem somewhere in the car, maybe related to the alarm installation. It could also be the main cables to the battery, they may be chafed somewhere. It sounds like you should look in the wiring where the alarm was installed and look for any...

    Gauge installation on MS6

You need to install a spin on oil filter housing, and then a sandwich plate for oil pressure and temperature. You might also be able to tee off of the current oil sending plug, which comes out of the top of the housing for the oil filter, and not need to change to the spin on filter (but...

Help! My lights behind my temp knobs are out?!?!

Is it just those? Then it's probably the bulb. When you install stuff, it's easy to cause an issue that blows a fuse or shorts a bulb. The fuse for the panel lights is under the hood, don't recall which one it is right now but you should see something about the dash in the fuse list. Since...

    Cobb Turbo Inlet Hose Reviews?

No, you don't...I have the SRI and TIH and haven't put an AP on yet. Things run fine...I saw knock stock, and see knock now but it's a bit different in how it behaves. Just make sure everything is tight, reset the ECU and give it time to relearn the new fuel trims and you'll be fine.

    Possible

Yeah, that was my plan, but velcro on the carpet works just fine. You will have to cut a hole in the back of the cubby to get the cable through.

    Possible

That's where my Dashhawk is...a little velcro on the bottom and it sticks to the carpet in the cubby just fine. I intend to do something more permanent eventually...actually, my ideal plan is to mount an iPad on a motor mount so it opens and closes automatically with the ignition (or with a...

    Having trouble with Boost Gauge

That definitely sounds like a loose ground wire issue, or there is a bit of corrosion that has built up somewhere. You'll have to trace the wiring to figure out where it has been grounded, and where the other wires go, and then clean up anything you find. No other way to do it unfortunately.

    running hot

Could be the thermostat going bad, or an issue with the water pump. Does it run hot at night or early in the morning when it has cooled off? It could just be the heat...and, 216 is still within the good zone, even though that is a bit warm, so if it's staying around that and not going higher...

Prosport premium electric boost gauge questions

Yes, -20 PSI...I have the same gauge so I thought all of them read PSI, but if he's got a different unit of measure on there then it should be the equivalent of 20 PSI.

What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

About the cabin air filter...I couldn't find the right one, so I grabbed the Fram CF10285 and that seemed to fit. I'll switch to the NAPA one next time around probably, or look for a better option (I'm not really big on Fram filters). Dave, I hope you're documenting everything and sending a...
