Good day Ceric, Helbigtw and jk240sx. Thank you so much for the help and recommendations. You guys are the reason that forums like this thrive, to assist fellow auto enthusiasts/mazda owners.
I tried the NAV/CD this morning and surprisingly, it worked! I didn't do anything past my initial...
Good day guys. I was going to load an audio CD in the changer and after I pushed the load/eject button on the console the screen is now stuck in the "open" or down position.
1. It went through it's normal routine of the screen sliding to it's open/down positon for CD loading. It indicated to...
My wife and I are current owners of a 2008 CX-9 GT (Nav, Bose) and we are considering adding a 2010 or 2011 touring or GT FWD or AWD to our garage.
We were wondering what people have been paying OTD and what specs/options came with your purchase. Planning on purchasing in a week or two. Hope...
Good day fellow forum members. One of the smart keys of our 2008 CX9 does not work in it's "normal mode" anymore. "Normal mode" being:
1. Being able to lock/unlock via buttons on the front door handles and lift gate
2. Being able to start the vehicle without using the actual metal key
The...
Mojoman-I do remove the wheels when I wash the vehicle. I put the jackstands underneath the car for support then wash away at the undercarriage. :D
After cleaning the undercarriage of the vehicle, I torque all the lugs to 90ft.lbs. then I start working on the body of the CX-9.
Wash and wax is...
Lindyrect- I had a somewaht similar experience. Dealer quoted me $150 to turn the OEM rotors when I brought the car in for warranty for the suspension "click" and paint peel of the armrest trim.
The rotors I replaced the OEM with cost $215 shipped with free pads. I believe the difference of $65...
The aftermarket rotors/pads have been working really well. No pulsation even after repeated deceleration from highway speeds and some "panic stops" thrown in. However, there is faint brake squeal when slowly decelerating from around 20mph to full stop. Braking confidence has increased. Vehicle...
Click on the link for some pics of Thule T2 with the extension. I would also recommend the Kuat bike rack, unfortunately it only carries 2 bikes at a time. Good luck in your decision. :D

If the hitch has a 2in. receiver then it should be able to handle a 4 bike rack plus the weight of the 4 bikes (as long as the total weight does not exceed the rated tongue weight of the hitch).
We use a Thule T2 with the 2 bike extender and travel 180mi. each way to one of the trails we...
tstex-As requested
Here are some pics of the rear undercarriage of our 1yr. and 4 months old CX-9 taken today (a tad dirty, because this was cleaned last friday):
tstex-I'll post the undercarriage next clean I do. Make sure she wears safety glasses when she crawls under the vehicle because soapy water can get in her eyes (speaking from expereince) (shady) :D.
I had the same issue with warped rotors and I replaced them with aftermarket. Works really well and has more bite than the stockers, currently at over 1000mi. on the new set. I have a how-to replace rotors with pictures if you're interested. I can e-mail it to you but it's in word format. Good...
I installed my CX-9 hitch myself, and in order for me to use a torque wrench, I had to loosen the screws of that black module thingy so I can move it out of the way. It was still a tight fit, but it did work. Looks good, good luck.
There is a TSB for front brake squeal and rear brake groan.
Front squeal TSB #04-001/08 issued on 1/16/2008
Rear brake groan TSB #04-004/08 issued on 3/14/2008
Good luck (2thumbs)
