Maybe try swaping the tires around and see if the noise changes with whereever the tire goes.

Maybe a messed up tire? or a wheel bearing?

If you hold your shifter in reverse and go as fast as you can then slam it into 1st, pop the clutch, and floor it, that might solve your problem......don't quote me on that though....

Did you happen to check out your boots at all?

Do either of your CV's have any play in them? IIRC CVs will have some play in them if they are gonna go out. I noticed that my drivers side CV has a torn boot. It could be losing all the grease and causing the noise. Maybe check that out too.

I dont think mine does it in reverse. And mine only does it when I get on it. Not really give it hell but say to get up too speed quick cuz you pull out in front of someone. I noticed where my passenger side CV shaft connects to the other shaft which goes to the trans there is a lil bit of bare...

My car is doing the exact same thing. I replaced the driver side wheel bearing because it was in fact bad. It did not solve the problem and my passenger side bearing is still solid. So if you come up with a solution please let me know!! The noise is driving me crazy!! Edit to add that I also...

I did the same thing on mine. The nuts are welded. I ended up breaking a nut loose and snaping a bolt. Both of which were on the driverside. For being a newer car the thing sure is rusty. Edit: How did you figure out what number spicy you have?

I feel your pain dude. I hit a mailbox over the winter. Damn thing dented in my front passenger side fender. Went by later in the day and they had it duct taped back up haha.

Mine smelt like rotten eggs for a while. Cut out the two cats and put in a straight pipe and problem solved.

Does it do it when your just reving your car when its in neutral?

Thanks for the reply, I know my lugs are tight because I have had both tires off looking at the CV shafts. Also thanks for the info on the exhaust. Anyone else got any ideas? Nick

I just did this job. Ended up having to cut my tie rod end and it took a 4.5 foot breaker bar and a torch to get the axle nut loose. Make sure you soak all the nuts with PBlaster or something of that sort for a couple days might help out the whole operation. Nick
