The Moderately Low (Not Slammed) and Functional Thread

Thanks Goliat6288! It has to be functional for me, low, but functional. Although I will admit, I do like the way some of the slammed cars look, I'm just not willing to trade off that much handling performance for looks. Now my big-bodied Lexus, that's another story, it's not much of a...

The Moderately Low (Not Slammed) and Functional Thread

Previous owner had them tinted, side windows and back glass only. It's a nice tint job, and it has grown on me, as I wouldn't have done it. I will say that it has protected the interior from fading (especially important in sun-soaked Florida), the inside of the car looks as good as the...

Gracias Tungsten6! Previous owner had it repainted about six years ago, and, by today's odometer reading, about 75,000 miles ago. Whoever painted it did a pretty good job! I drive it about 200 miles a day, and it has held up well.

    Miata Roll Call

Been a while since I posted, and thought it about time I updated things around here. This was my previous ride from several years ago. Put 200,000 miles on it and gave it away to a family in need. These pictures are from the day I gave it away. Really enjoyed this car. This is one of the...

I want a Whitewater manual 5, help, please?

So I gave away my much loved Protege5 back in March to a family that did not have a car and needed one. As a result, I would like to replace it with a manual Whitewater Pearl Mazda5, but I am having trouble finding one close to home. I found a by-owner '07 5 Touring in Southern Cal, but that's...

    100K MP5 Club

For the first 180,000 miles I used Castrol GTX 5w20 (non-synthetic), and for the past 18,000 miles Quaker State 5w20 (same here). I usually go 4-6K miles between changes, and it burns zero to very little oil. I drive a bunch and check the oil several times between changes, and have never had...

    High mileage club~!

Nice! I have 198,040 miles as of this morning. Lowered 2", 18" wheels, exhaust, intake, short shifter, bushings, and a few other mods. Runs fantastic, no issues ever. Great car.

Ouch! So I'm guessing there was some frame damage that sent it to the scrap yard?

Can't let this thread die yet. Rolled past 195,000 earlier today. I can almost see the 200,000 mile mark. Yeah baby!

    Mazdawinterpalooza 2008! January 20th, 2008- Clearwater, FL

I should be able to make it up there for at least a couple of hours. And yes, I will bring the Grandpa of Protege5's (193,000+ miles of driving goodness). Later.

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, and my Mazda mechanics aren't lying to me, our 2.0L is non-interference. I read several postings that were debating the interference/non-interference issue so I asked the guys that should know more than I know, and that is what they said. Many moons ago while I was...
