    Memory Seat issues

OK, count me in with the same situation. When this first happened, I thought that I had done something to loose the setting but it has happened twice more now. No pattern here either except that both keys loose their respective settings at the same time. Not something I want to spend the day...

    auto headlight sensitivity

OK, I've tried this over a dozen times and cannot get it to work. Question on step 1, after your turn the ignition to ON and have the Flash pulled, do you let go of the Flash and proceed to step 2? Also, on 2 occasions at the begining of step 2 I must have enter some kind of audio speaker test...

    Recirculate Button

Ah, but then some idiot would fog up his/her windows, get in an accident, then sue the car company for letting him/her do something stupid. Unfortunately they have to manufacture to the lowest common denominator.

    Voice Recognition Training

Same here, previous Nav systems that I've had (Toyota) had a POI category for Coffee Houses. Really wish this had it, I miss that. We can hope for a SW upgrade, after all our SW is from 2006.

    Cx-9 Throttle Problems

If it was not for it happening on the same hill and not all the time, I would point you toward the transmission as well. When you loose power is the engine racing, i.e. revs at 4-5000 but your not going anywhere. This is what happened to me, it started intermittently on one day and the next...

Check Engine Light - On Day 4

Well, since the repair took a wild left and turned into a completed transmission replacement, I continued the saga in the following thread. About 1200 miles on the new tranny and no issues. http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123684529&highlight=tranny

    Auto Headlights - Adjust Setting?

Does anyone know if the Auto Headlights have a sensitivity adjustment. For me they seem to come on in just moderate low light and would like to dial down the sensitivity a bit.

CX-9 vs. Saturn Outlook (or others)

My 2 cents I picked the CX-9 over the Toyota Highlander and Acura MDX. My wife did not like the Highlanders boxy SUV look or the driving position. We both liked the MDX but could not justify an extra $10k for the set up we wanted. My wife is 5'3" and I'm 6'3" and we both have comfortable...

Help with 2008 CX-9 Navigation System

The biggest missing data for me is that the POI categories do not have Coffee Houses. :( Anyone know how to find the nearest Starbucks???

    enough power?

The concept of power or quickness of a car is more a question of the engine torque (and when it's available) than its horsepower. For instance, I have a Nissan Sentra Spec R that has about 170hp and it's 0-60 time is only about a 1/2 sec fast than the CX-9. But because it's a big 4cyl (2.5L)...

Help with 2008 CX-9 Navigation System

It's a fairly intuitive system. One issue you may be having on addresses is if your area is not set for the upper mid-West. Check the area in the destination menu and change if not set correctly. To go somewhere, you can just do menu, destination, then follow the prompts for inputing the...

When you pick up your new CX9, make sure...

I'll add one on the Nav system. Have them set the area for your part of the country. This is easily done by yourself but if your not used to Nav systems, it can seem a bit odd when local city's do not show up. The dealer should do this as part of their prep. My was set for the mid-Atlantic...

Hi All - CX-9 in the works

On the S-Plan price sheet, you have to add the $595 destination charge and their also may be a regional charge on the invoice. You'll notice a disclaimer on the bottom of your S-Plan price sheet about the accuracy of the numbers. The price you pay under the S-Plan is the invoice price listed...

New Transmission - was Check Engine light

Got the car back Well got my CX-9 back yesterday. Seems to be running fine. They told us to treat it as new again and try to reset our impressions. Dealer installed a set of roof rails for our troubles.

New Transmission - was Check Engine light

I discussed a replacement with the sales mgr but since they can fix this with a new tranny it's really not an option. I will be tracking this according to my states lemon law guidelines. These entitle a replacement if the same issue needs a repair 3 times under warranty in a 2 year period or...

New Transmission - was Check Engine light

Thanks for the input. They gave no reason for why it failed, said this was the first ever reported. As to "willing to replace", I had only owned the car for 4 days. I had not even broken in the engine, so basically I'm starting from scratch.

New Transmission - was Check Engine light

OK I thought that this latest development required a new thread that was previously chronicled in Check Engine Light - Day 4. The car acted up for the service mgr today and they finally depermined that the transmission is shot, en internal malfunction. So with 190 miles on the CX-9 they are...

Check Engine Light - On Day 4

They still have the car and I do not expect any updates until late Monday or Tuesday. At this point they have cleared the codes and they say the car runs fine and is not having anymore problems. But they still have no idea what caused the check engine codes or the erratic engine and...

    3.7L engine reviews?

See this thread on current issues. http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123684021 May be software related to the transmission. After 2 days, the dealership can't figure it out.
