I have an alpine 10" Type-X that's considerably deeper then it's diameter. The JBL.. um.. Gti?? subs are like that too... REALLLLLLLY deep.

6-3/4 Speakers require a bit of modification to the stock opening to get them to fit.. but they do fit. 5-1/4 are direct drop ins.

Sounds like something is effe'd in the stock wiring.. You can either take it apart and investigate, get the dealer to look at it.. or just ignore it...

it's weird that it's happening when nothing is plugged in.. Does the wine change when something is plugged in??

you have enough slack in the belts to pull the seats out and set them to the side. Don't mess with the belts.
