I don't know the answer to that problem but I don't even fully understand what O/D off does? In the manual it jsut says have O/D on while regular driving and you can turn it off for going up hills? what does it really do like mechanically?

It really depends where you are. I see you live in virginia but by me (in seattle,wa) they go for about 13-14k with around 20-50k miles. However sometimes you can find ones in good shape with low miles for like 8-9k you just have to keep and eye out. check out craigslist.com
