ok the deal is, he IS getting new pistons.. weisco... he is also getting new rods. we are having trouble finding them, but they will be bought/ordered by monday night. everything in the motor looked great EXCEPT of course the pistons. the cylinder walls (#2 and #4 which were the ones that lost...

so unfortunately he already ordered the new pistons in the stock size.... and we dont' have time to wait for a re-order.... I know he will not be driving hard, at least not until he gets an ems.. on the fcd thing... they're bad news.... esp with no ems... 'cause the msp's run lean anyway, and...

sorry didn't see this post before. he had a down pipe w/ a high flow cat. upgraded vacuum lines, cai, aftermarket bov, fuel cut defensor, and a boost controler. it ran really lean and blew the pistons appart is what we have come to the conclusion of... he was running about 10-11 psi normally but...

well, the block is out of the car now. also, the piston rings were fine. does anyone have any experience with pistons breaking between the rings?? well, also on the note of the oil sqirters, it looks to me like they're held on with a regular bolt..... anyway any more help is very appreciated
