Everything I see says the first scheduled maintenance is at 5000 miles. My CX-5 is telling me it needs scheduled maintenance, it started doing it around 3000 miles. Anyone know why it would come on this early?

That is very concerning. In my case it sounded like it came from under the vehicle towards the rear so I would be surprised if it was the engine doing it.

That sounds strange, I thought it wasn't supposed to engage if you were already using the brakes? I've had it come on a few times, but never when I was already braking. It's easy to brake too hard when it kicks in.
