    I got the non oem filters on Amazon in February . Very nice and the cabin is charcoal coated. I could not find the cabin locally. Will buy these again.

    SiriusXM playback ?

    My 2015 also has this feature. I have paused it for about 5 minutes with no problems. You can also rewind and fast forward if you pause or rewind first . The controls are on screen.

    OEM all weather mats vs. Weathertech

    Got my OEM rubber mats thrown in with the deal. They seem to be fine and work ok but I am not a messy person ( hit my feet together before moving them inside car). I think it would depend on the harsh environment a person has to deal with.

    Footrest mod.

    I cut mine from a used old rubber floor mat and put velco on the back. It has been there for almost a year and is doing great. Cost me nothing because I had velco from an old foot splint my wife needed when she broke her ankle.

    Yes, I have noticed when I pack the CX-5 for a trip with say 150 pounds of luggage and such in the back the ride is much smoother. When I put 15 bags of mulch it is smoother. I have the AWD system and I think it might have a little stiffer suspension.

    Engine light on dash display

    Stop by Autozone and they will scan it for you for free. Then you can decide to take it to the dealer or walk back and tighten the gas cap. They can clear them too and see if it comes back.

    Almost cross-country roadtrip update - with trailer!

    Found out the cruise control likes to downshift to 5 gear going downhill to keep the speed under control. Read it here but was sceptical, found out the last trip thru WV hills. Best to shut off cruise in hilly, mountainous areas. MPG should be a little better, but don't ride the brakes.

    How to prepare car to sit a few months?

    Battery tender shuts on and off, keeping it at the best charge. I would do it and have done it for my 2nd car I don't use much in the winter. If you are not comfortable leaving it on all the time put it on a timer to run lets say 4 hours a day.

    OEM Roof Rails or Go naked?

    If you just need them for skiing why not wipe them off and drop the middle part of the back seat and put them inside? Seems like a couple large towels would be a lot cheaper. ( or ski bags ) Would they fit?
