Mazdaspeed protege daily build 250 whp goal

i havent heard of any MSPs reaching 250hp on stock internals. At the most (and that's iffy) you might be able to squeeze 210-220 on a stock block, intake and full exhaust at 8psi, but those rods are super delicate. Youre gonna have to build the motor eventually to achieve 220hp+.. I mean you can...

    Good deal?

Id see if you could get it cheaper of find one cheaper....cash is golden. I bought mine for $3000, granted i did blow the engine 3 months later, but it already was having problems before i bought it. Since then i did get the engine replaced and everything. Id definitely get a compression check...

Could you describe the noise? Is it like a squeaking sound or clunking sound?

Kind of a late post but i bought some wheels about a month ago. I bought them used and they had some scratches, but i was able to sand them and paint them myself and over the course of a few days but heres the final product. And yes i had to get the fenders rolled because of the offset. The...

    New mazdaspeed protege owner.Hello guys!

Nice!!.. welcome to the forum. Be careful while tinkering with the engine the motors are really delicate. Just something simple as exhaust, FMIC, cold air intake and a boost controller should do the trick. Other than that though you can make it into a autocross machine and make it handle like...

    Voltex style side skirt diffuser

Seems like a nice DIY... I would try it out too, but i wouldnt recommend 3M tape to hold it in place. I would use a drill and do it right with screws or chassis/body panel fasteners from your local auto parts store

    pull or flare?

It depends...but it sounds like you just need to roll/pull your fenders. I wouldn't put fender flares on your car unless you're gonna run a very low offset (between 25mm-0mm) to where the tires are poking out past the body by 2-4in.
