Factory Fill for MAZDA CX-5 engine, and running in.. Anyone know this stuff??

Seems the general consensus so far is not to bother with changing the oil early... Anyone more 'pro-or-no' early oil change comments?? So Mazda having there own brand of synthetic oil, do you think this is what they factory fill there engines with??? My guess though is that Mazda buy oil of...

    Octane Rating

This is correct. In Europe they run 14:1 because people there don't complain about having to use more expensive fuel (why that is I don't know). 14:1 engine has a better thermal efficacy/ better fuel efficacy (less of the fuels energy is lost as heat wastage) but if they use lower octane over...

Factory Fill for MAZDA CX-5 engine, and running in.. Anyone know this stuff??

Does anyone know for sure what MAZDA factory fill there engines with??? More to the point, the CX-5 2L Petrol engine. I wont to change my oil at 1500km and at 3000km then do the regular service intervals every 6months for longevity of the engine. I've head people say that factory oil is mineral...

A/C blows hot when at lower speeds...any ideas why?

Just a few guess but maybe your compressor is worn out and needs some speed behind it to get working (try revving the engine up to normal cruise RPM in park for 30sec or so and see if it comes good for that period). Your condenser fan may not be working and the gas uses the ram air to work...

Poor quality of workmanship and overpriced servicing, a way of life?

Read another post and it seems in the states a typical service is under $60 (is this correct?????) We pay around $330 just for an oil change here in Darwin at the dealer! (that's if they even do it LOL!) I cant even do it myself for under $60 using quality oil and filter ect.

    Oil level

A new engine will have a slightly higher oil consumption they normal so keeping an eye on it is always a good idea (say weekly checks using the method described in your owners manual). If it does need a little oil one day (getting near the bottom dot), I wouldn't go grab 'any old bottle of oil'...

Poor quality of workmanship and overpriced servicing, a way of life?

I did go into this place with high hopes but was so disappointed! Bladecutter, I knew they wouldn't change the oil and filter as its not part on the complimentary service and I didn't ask for it as an extra. But when I got home, and had a look over the receipt, it read 'Replaced oil and...

Poor quality of workmanship and overpriced servicing, a way of life?

Went in for my first dealer service today and was very disappointed (hard to believe considering it was free)!! First off, the car went in relatively clean and come out with water-makes all over it as if someone sprayed hot coolant into the air next to my car. 2nd, there was oil smears over...

MAZDA CX-5 mud gaurds pic's please

Hi. I'm thinking of purchasing OEM front and rear mud guards for my Mazda CX-5 but cant find many quality photos of what they look like in 'real life'. Has anyone got them and able to share photos?? Also, are they worth having? Do yous think they help protect the paint from road grime and the...
