    Hatchkitten's Protege5 Thread!

Your a rock star! I've already started dimensioning (is that a word?) under the hood. Going to try to throw something together in AutoCad and see what happens. I'll keep you posted if you want.

    Hatchkitten's Protege5 Thread!

I think I'm going to take up the challenge to just build one myself. Figure I have time, not a necessary upgrade right now. How does the bumper guard go on? Easy install?

What have you done to your P5 today?

Glad you appreciate that. I still haven't unloaded it yet, but I'm kinda liking the look, goes well with these little tires and wheels I have on her. How much would it cost for the most basic lowering of this type? Is it possible to do the work yourself without special tools? Thanks

    Hatchkitten's Protege5 Thread!

Thanks I'll look into what the parts are and find a routing diagram for under the hood and see what I could come up with, I'll check out the company directly as well. I was just teasing about the bag, it does look somewhat incriminating though :) I found that bumper guard for $15 at...

    Hatchkitten's Protege5 Thread!

Automatics allow you to really relax when your driving her... ahem, sorry, driving him. I tried finding it on eBay and got lost in a world of stuff...

Noob with a Protege5 looking for recommendations on proper maintenance

HatchKitten: 30mpg after my 8mpg Chevy would be a dream! When I got my rig I got an engine code that centered around my cooling, started to check things out and found that there wasn't a thermostat installed! Luckily, it seems, all thermostats go in the same, doesn't matter what car. ... I've...

Noob with a Protege5 looking for recommendations on proper maintenance

Sometimes I will suddenly have an urge to pull over and get gas, even though I'm still running at 3/4 tank. Habits. The intake tube looks good, I've read there are a few devices within that area that can be pulled and cleaned (ECM or something like that), sometimes smoothing out idle. I'll have...

Noob with a Protege5 looking for recommendations on proper maintenance

Hey all, Just got a 2002 Protege5 manual and am used to driving a 77 Chevy C-10 stepside pickup, so just a little difference in vehicles. I used to have an '82 RX-7 back in '97 and it was the funnest car to drive, so far the Protege5 is catching up. Well, here are the questions that I have. 1)...
