2016 CX-5 Google Maps voice navigation over radio stopped working

At some point in the recent past, Google Maps voice stopped playing over the car's speakers when I have the radio set to FM/XM. This is with an Android phone. I've looked through other threads but haven't found one that matches this issue, most talk about the voice being cut off or issues with...

Infotainment system reboots many times when cold on 2016 CX-5

From what I've gathered (and the tsb) the only thing that fixes the cold reboot problem is a new sd card.

    Daytime running lights dim/flickering

Not quite 2 months later, and my driver side is doing the same thing. Disappointing.

    Daytime running lights dim/flickering

Welp, I noticed the 'halo' part of my passenger light looked really dim in a reflection this afternoon, and sure enough it is flickering. So I came here and found this thread. Guess I have some reading to do. My warranty ran out about 6 months ago.

Infotainment system reboots many times when cold on 2016 CX-5

Yeah we had a mini-showdown over it. Since they updated the firmware last year and it obviously didn't solve the issue. He couldn't get off his script of "firmware update first, then if it persists we look into other options." I never even got to tell him removing the sd card made the problem...

Infotainment system reboots many times when cold on 2016 CX-5

Finally made it into the dealer today. After a completely miserable experience, I have a new SD card. And I need to find a new service department. I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to see if it's fixed. My advisor claimed they've never heard of this problem related to temperature. But...

Infotainment system reboots many times when cold on 2016 CX-5

Welp, sure enough, I pulled the nav card before starting the car and no reboots! I'll be visiting the dealer next weekend. Also, it just occurred to me that around the same time the reboot issue started last winter, I also had a "stuck" navigation system. The map would pull up but it wouldn't...

Infotainment system reboots many times when cold on 2016 CX-5

Will be following this as I have the same problem! Seems to be worse this year than last. Mine happens whenever it is ~50 or below. I was thinking condensation causing a short of some kind, but I will try pulling the nav card in the morning and see if that makes a difference. I mentioned it to...

    Crackling radio?

Not yet, I ended up picking up my plates after the service department had closed. So I figured I would just wait til my free oil change in April, but I heard about the recall today so I will probably be there next weekend instead.

    Cargo Liner for Dog

Another vote for the Mazda soft cargo liner. I combined it with the rubbery cargo tray as well (installed liner then tray on top). Wasn't too bad to install, I had a problem getting the little pockets to go over the floorboard corners at first. Made sure I had all excess slack out of the back...

    Crackling radio?

I tried out some AM stations and never noticed any crackling... I looked up some info on the station that I listen to most, the transmitter is 14-22 miles during my commute and the "Effective Radiated Power" is 29,700 watts. Of course I know nothing about radio so I don't know what that really...

    Crackling radio?

Hmm I haven't tried AM actually, I will try that. FM stations are local. I haven't tried a CD either, but podcasts over bluetooth from my phone are totally clear. If I'm sitting still in the car, the FM is fine, it's only while I'm actually moving that it starts crackling.

    Crackling radio?

Hello all! I joined the Mazda family 1.5 weeks ago with a 2016 CX-5 GT in Blue Reflex, with the Tech and Activsense packages. Loving it so far! I am having one issue though, thought I'd see if anyone has has experienced this before I head to the dealer. The problem is crackling/popping FM...
