From what I've gathered (and the tsb) the only thing that fixes the cold reboot problem is a new sd card.

Not quite 2 months later, and my driver side is doing the same thing. Disappointing.

Welp, I noticed the 'halo' part of my passenger light looked really dim in a reflection this afternoon, and sure enough it is flickering. So I came here and found this thread. Guess I have some reading to do. My warranty ran out about 6 months ago.

Yeah we had a mini-showdown over it. Since they updated the firmware last year and it obviously didn't solve the issue. He couldn't get off his script of "firmware update first, then if it persists we look into other options." I never even got to tell him removing the sd card made the problem...

Not yet, I ended up picking up my plates after the service department had closed. So I figured I would just wait til my free oil change in April, but I heard about the recall today so I will probably be there next weekend instead.

Another vote for the Mazda soft cargo liner. I combined it with the rubbery cargo tray as well (installed liner then tray on top). Wasn't too bad to install, I had a problem getting the little pockets to go over the floorboard corners at first. Made sure I had all excess slack out of the back...

I tried out some AM stations and never noticed any crackling... I looked up some info on the station that I listen to most, the transmitter is 14-22 miles during my commute and the "Effective Radiated Power" is 29,700 watts. Of course I know nothing about radio so I don't know what that really...

Hmm I haven't tried AM actually, I will try that. FM stations are local. I haven't tried a CD either, but podcasts over bluetooth from my phone are totally clear. If I'm sitting still in the car, the FM is fine, it's only while I'm actually moving that it starts crackling.
