There used to be a group of Protege guys here in Vancouver, mpsport.net and bcmazda.com - looks like they have now migrated to bcprotege.net. BTW, if you do actually end up getting that flag I have a feeling that the group at BCMazda3.com would love to have a meet to sign it and get some pics...

No real big issues here either, and I got one of the first ones off the boat here in Vancouver. I still love to drive it, and will probably end up replacing it with a new 5.

... and after just getting home from England, driving around seeing Mazda5's with roof rails... I just want them more. My '06 really should have come with them, or at least the option should be available. :( Please, in the next "refresh", give us this option!

Do you have snow tires or all-seasons on? I have a question about your ABS - does it almost feel like a metallic grinding when you step on the pedal and start to slide? I've kinda written that off as "how it is" but I've never had a car with ABS before.

Yeah, I have driven this car in some snow and frankly the ABS grinds like a b**tard whenever the tires slip. It's almost to the point where I wish I could turn it off.

That's pretty high praise - I think we all understand exactly what you are saying... it's a fun car to drive, and it really has that Mazda 'spirit'. :) ... and it's way more fun to drive than a Kia. :)

I had someone on this forum measure the mount points and they are, indeed, different. It breaks my heart, honestly - the car looks so much better with them.

I love the colour - if that had been the red (instead of the Cardinal Red) in 2006, I would have bought it for sure. I'm up to 100,000km now, and still loving the car. Many congratulations on your purchase! :)

It sounds nice - it also sounds unrealistic. What I believe Mazda should do is offer two choices - the 2.5L inline 4 that they are putting in the Mazda6, as well as the rotary/hybrid combination that they are currently working on.

This is the correct answer. Punching holes in the roof of the car in order to fit a roof rack that doesn't even belong on it, and expecting you to go "yay cool a roof rack" is the most stupid thing I have ever seen or heard of on this forum. To think, A DEALER did this... lol. Just to put...
