No, the one that I had installed doesn't display anything. In fact, it's separate from the radio - the audio is simply patched in and it switches to the BT system when a call comes in or when you press the button.

It works great for me. Music streaming quality was not good, but calls were great!

On my iPhone, it engaged Siri!

I do like what Mazda has done, and for a stock system it's pretty darn good. But I would love Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. They can implement both and still keep their current system - the others just run on top of that system, from the phone.

I really wish they'd get on board with Apple's CarPlay as well. Their systems already work decently with Apple devices. Also, I know that CarPlay doesn't completely replace the existing system - it just does its thing if you've got an Apple device connected and otherwise there is an underlying...

I agree! I'm not coming from anything overly quick, but my Santa Fe has a V6 with 276hp and plenty of torque. I have also had a Jetta and a Passat, both with 1.8T engines that were very peppy. I was worried about the 2, but it really picks up when you need it to. The only time I found it lacking...

I, too, wish there was a better wheel on the base model. I never understood car manufacturer's putting cheap, plasticky steering wheels on their cars. I honestly think they'd sell more if the steering wheels felt nicer on even the base models. Though I guess that's one of the pushes to get you...
