I was turning the small nut on the back of the caliper, which is normally concealed by the EPB unit. You CAN turn that to retract the piston (no different than what the EPB motor does), you just need to turn it clockwise (ie: "tighten" it) to retract the piston. I went the wrong way, and...
I'd rather just pay $200 at the dealership than calling/ubering all over town trying to find someone willing and able to get the existing lot back together. The financial hit stinks, but it's not the end of the world, and is probably the path of least resistance to getting the car back on the...
I only did one side because I was changing rear pads, and never made it to the other side of the car after hitting this roadblock. I took it apart because the I pushed the brake pedal (to put it into service mode) while the caliper was off the bracket, and the piston went to full extension. I...
Long story short, I'm in a bit if a pickle. I ended up remembering to put the parking brake into service mode AFTER removing the caliper, and the process requires you to step on the brake pedal, so it pushed piston to it's travel limit and bound it up. In a fit of despiration, a backed the small...
Back up to the top. Car is sold and gone now, so this is just taking up space. I still have the raised floor panels as well. $100 shipped takes the whole shebang.
Hoping someone has removed their stock radio and is willing to part with the two small, black, vertical trim pieces that cover the holes where the removal tools are inserted.
Looking for the following:
- The two small trim pieces that go on either side of the OEM stereo, that conceal where you stick the removal tools
- Lug wrench

I think they are useful tools, but I don't see how an impact helps in this situation. There is about 2 inches of clearance between the bolt heads and the inner frame rail. I don't think you can install the pulley on the pump before attaching it to the block . . . if so, an impact could be used.
Any sage advice about how to tighten up the water pump pulley bolts? Finishing up a timing belt and water pump job and that's the last remaining hurdle. Best to just get them finger tight, install the belt with a lot of tension, snug them down, then re-set the belt tension. Use a strap wrench...
