Maybe I was the exception but I just got rid of a 10 year old 2005 Mazda 3 and I live in Chicago and that car had no rust. It was garage kept though.

I just purchased a FWD Touring about a month ago. So far have been very pleased with the fuel economy. Getting approx. 29 mpg with a 70/30 city/hwy mix. If that mileage continues I will be very pleased.

Yep. I always tell the dealer/sales person not to put any dealer decals on the car. My car is not a moving advertisement for their dealership unless they want to pay me for that privilege.

yep. I also chose the silver touring model. I have had silver cars before and they generally don't show the dirt on the car like the darker colors do. Also, the CX-5 silver I think is one of the nicer silver paints.

I've driven a Forester a few times as rentals. Don't recall the mpg numbers being anywhere near that good with mostly highway driving.

I'm very surprised that the Forester mpg was so good.
