We in the Mazda5 section also have been tracking a rattle (http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123808169-Slight-metalic-rattle-when-accelerating-under-load) to no avail. Took mine to the dealer recently, very desperate and wanted to exhaust every avenue...they were at a loss also...

What I'm able to find is that there is no adjustment. In the RX and MS6 there is an adjustment rod...there are a lot of discussions about the fixed rod...but I could not find any results. I had a 2011 madza3 and it released at the top also... I did find a humorous (at least for me)...

Did you change the no.3 motor mount? Also, was your tranny fluid low? Anyway, I will try the tranny fix. I've had the motor mounts replaced. I swear this morning the sound was in the cab of the car with me...man, this is a tough one! (confused)

This is a good looking ride. I need a wagon. The 5 is as close to a thought out wagon there is. I loove the sliding doors...but my kids are older now and I could make a go without the sliding doors...(eekdance)

Nope...the LitteKitty's rattle isn't from the motor mount. I' still looking for the rattle...It occurs when I accelerate, let of the gas, hit some bumps, etc...(deadhorse

So, did you every get this resolved? I think my cat is starting to have a metallic rattle sound if I hit a bump and most times during normal driving.(boom01)

Went by the dealership today and reviewed the records and they replaced my 3rd motor mount back in 2011 while under warranty. I looked at mm and noticed that I could not find a gash in the rubber...at least I had one bit of good news about the car today...YEA!

Here we go...I was able to determine nothing new really(bang) Except, it might be the secondary (first/small) catalytic converter that is located near the firewall. Stopped by the dealer and they were stumped also. I guess I will drive it until I get a dash light or I can go out and pinpoint...
