    For what it is worth, while a smoke test might reveal additional problems, I think the root of his issue is the faulty WGA. A torn diaphragm results in a massive vacuum leak... while there may be other issues that may or may not be diagnosed by a smoke test, there isn't much point in doing...

    Having a massive vacuum leak (IE, a torn diaphragm in your WGA), will cause all manner of problems with your tune, and is not something you can tune out with the SSAFC. Good call on not going over 10 psi.
