    Check your endlinks too. The little knock I was getting in curves went away after I replaced mine.

    Seatbelt light always on.

    I had this happen a few months ago. I found a used buckle assembly on eBay for $15 and replaced it. It was pretty simple to pull the seat and bolt on the new assembly.

    Whew! I thought I'd replace my rear brake pads yesterday. I'd read up on the procedure and understood that the piston is retracted with the set screw behind the piston.     Rear ended

    I was a bit worried. I had focused on the rear bumper and was concerned that I had not checked the quarter panels. Thanks for making me think! :)

    Looks like the quarters are OK. I could not see any damage. The wheels need repainting but that wasn't from the accident. :)

    Was bumped from behind earlier this evening at a red light. Pulled into a church parking lot to check for damage. I could not find anything. Other driver was driving a 2000 Protege sedan. Seemed to have no damage either. Impact knocked my quarters out of the dash holder but I found all of them...

    Exhaust rattle

    I've got a rattle coming from the left side of the engine compartment. It's not constant, just happens when I'm accelerating and hit around 2500 RPM. Any idea if it's a loose shield, etc or something major? 2003 Protege5, standard 2.0L engine, no mods, 144K miles Thanks!

    Switch to Synthetic Oil

    Changed oil to Mobil1 High Mileage 5W30 with Wix filter today. 143,016 miles on the car, bought it with 139,000 miles and not sure what was in it previously. I did one oil change in the mean time using 3 quarts Kendal 10W40 and .7 quarts of Marvel Mystery oil with a cheap O'Reilly's filter and...

    I just purchased my 2003 P5 in February. It's got 141K miles on it now. I'm not sure what was run in it previously. I was considering running Mobil1 5W30 with a decent filter. I understand that changing oil can cause deposits to dislodge so I'm planning on changing the oil at around 1500 miles...
