if you are close to 45k miles you need to get those plugs changed. Look in your manual and it will tell you that they are supposed to be changed at 45k miles. I have been on 91 octane and since I changed them there have been no more issues what so ever.

hey I did it and am really glad I did. the car is much better. One step colder smoothed out everything. The car accelerates really smooth and hard now. No jerking or pinging anymore... Not sure about the coil mod....

I just got the NGK one step colder plugs from Protege Garage and have been very pleased with them thus far! The car actually feels better under hard acceleration. Much smoother and it feels a little quicker. For sure better under top gear acceleration...
