FAIL! Just a quick lesson: "<" = Less than. For example, 1<2. ">" = Greater than. For example, 2>1. Thus, >3 years would mean greater than 3 years. 6 months is less than 3 years. 6 months < 3 years. Class dismissed.

There's a TON of people that run the V1. It's a wonderful device. If you can afford it, go for it. From what I hear, once you get the V1, you won't like any other device, since no other ones have the arrows that show you where the signal is coming from.

I have a Beltronics V940. Not the fanciest thing out there, but it gets the job done. Uses the same sensor as the V995 without all the bells and whistles. I just wanted something to warn me about cops, so I'm happy with it. Plus, I only paid $40 for it.

There's not gonna be any kits that you don't have to drill for. I mean, I suppose you could not drill if you didn't want to, but the dustcap wouldn't close right, and the wires would be pinched. Just pick up a spare set if you're really worried.

It's confirmed to work with non-Bose as well. Somebody did this on another forum a few months ago, and since then, several people have done it. I have this mod done on my 2007 without the Bose system, and no problems. It seems to only work with the 06-08 models, though.
