Can you post a picture of the strut at full droop and without the wheel? Are both springs equally loose? It's possible one spring could have a defect or a crack, but both having the same flaw would be extremely rare. (Start buying lottery tickets.)

I like the look. It blends well with the rest of the car without being too radical. I don't care for the line under the upper grille. And I hate the fender vent shown in the one picture.

Did any of the spring perches look rusty? It's possible that on rebound, the spring is a bit loose and turns slightly. Later on, under compression, the spring could pop or slide back into place. You could try removing the springs and painting the springs and perches, or put some type of...

I found a picture of a new fender, and there is a screw hole behind that plastic triangle. You need to remove the plastic triangle. I'm not sure how to do that.
