Previously Wrecked 06 M5, Front caster is out of wack. Any ideas what to do?

Wishmaster, I kinda thought that was the issue but was hoping it wouldn't be that because these struts have like 30k miles on them. I didn't know they had a lifetime warranty. I'll look for the warranty info and see what I can do. Thanks for the help!

Previously Wrecked 06 M5, Front caster is out of wack. Any ideas what to do?

Yet another issue arises. I didn't want to hijack anyone elses thread. The front end of my car seams to be bottoming out now. I've had this issue before and fixed it with a set of new Monroe struts and springs. For some reason the right side strut seams to be worse. The struts on it now have...

Previously Wrecked 06 M5, Front caster is out of wack. Any ideas what to do?

Update, So I found a Mz5 at the local picknpull, It had some sort of engine failure or something. It had no impact damage what so ever so I figured it was safe to assume the K-frame wasn't bent. lol I bought it for $60 and Installed it. I also grabbed those strut tower stiffener plates like...

Previously Wrecked 06 M5, Front caster is out of wack. Any ideas what to do?

I like your idea of shimming it. I think I might try this first and then the LCA and see what happens. I haven't gotten around to it yet, I've been working on the house lately and I'm having it re-roofed. Its killing my wallet. lol I've read about slotting the tower holes for extra camber...

Previously Wrecked 06 M5, Front caster is out of wack. Any ideas what to do?

I get what you're saying. I found a MZ3 at the local picknpull, it should be relatively cheap. I found a MZ5 subframe at another junk yard for $200 they pull it. I'm ok with pulling it my self at the picknpull. I assume the MZ3 and 5 subframes are interchangeable? I pulled up a parts diagram and...

Previously Wrecked 06 M5, Front caster is out of wack. Any ideas what to do?

They decided it was from a previous accident because the bent side is on the opposite side of the car from our accident. That's why they say its per-existing. I'll try installing a new LCA and see how that goes. I'll check for signs of damage to the lower sub frame also. How easy would it be...

Previously Wrecked 06 M5, Front caster is out of wack. Any ideas what to do?

Yes, we have taken it to two places and they both show the same values for front caster. As for the accident that caused the damage, we aren't sure how fast it was going. I guess the car came that way, we put maybe 15k miles on it before another accident involving the drivers side door, wheel...

Previously Wrecked 06 M5, Front caster is out of wack. Any ideas what to do?

My wife's 2006 Mazda5 has a caster issue. We bought it about 6 years ago and It never seamed to have issues with it eating front tires, sway bar bushings and links, until an accident (on the front left side of the car) she had about 30k miles ago. We took it back to the body shop who did the...

Guide Mazda5 Tutorial - SPC adjustable rear camber upper arms

This write up is awesome! The exhaust hanger on the drivers side is literally right in the way. (lol) I had such difficulty getting the bolt out I was to the point where I was going to cut the hanger off. I managed to get the bolt out though. So do the control arm bushings need to be pre-loaded...

    Input on replacement struts needed

How do the GR-2's feel on the road? Is the ride harsher than stock? I'm looking for a smooth ride but good quality. I made the mistake of buying cheap SenSen struts from ebay. 2+ years and 10k miles later the fronts act like they are failing.

    Sliding door repair diagram

bearymore, one day I will be in the same boat as you are. My inner door lock keeps sticking like 75% of the time. I keep oiling it but its not helping. It usually requires me to reach inside the car and unlock the slider door. Usually when it decides to stick I'm holding something or have only...

    Input on replacement struts needed

In my experience poly bushings do need maintenance at least they do if you want them to be quiet. lol I installed some poly rear subframe bushings on my BMW. They squeak like no other. lol I used the cheap copper grease they provided. They make a squeaky kind of sound, its louder when its cold...

    06 Mazda5 bumper conversion

I personally like the 2011+ style front bumper. But I doubt even the front fenders would fit my 2006. Not to mention the hood, bumper cover, and lights.

    Transmission and Engine mounts

Yes I checked the tranny mount. It looks shot. The engine rocks a lot when you put the car in park and push on the front bumper. I think I'll get a poly tranny mount this time. And standard motor mounts. I swear this car has a really wonky front end. Its having some front suspension issues as well.
