Thanks for the great info! I'll take one out for a test drive and may even wait for the 2020's to arrive

    Transitioning from cx5 to cx9

Thanks Dougal for your input, much appreciated! As the driver does it feel more spacious than the cx5? I plan on testing it out soon, but the middle console looks huge! wondering as i am 6'4" so space is of the essence.

    Transitioning from cx5 to cx9

Hello fellow members, I have been driving a cx5 for nearly 7 years and am thinking of moving up to the cx9. Have any cx5 drivers made the move into the cx9 world? if so, how is your experience? which vehicle do you prefer? pros and cons with your experience. thanks in advance!!!

    CX-5 GS (Canada)

Looking into a 2019 cx5 and just read about this CD issue. Is the general consensus on the board to upgrade to the GTR-turbo or signature? I am not sure what the software fix addressed, however if this is a hardware issue then i am a bit nervous. Would it be worth waiting for the 2020's to...

What did you pay for your CX-5?

Any Canadian friends willing to post their recent prices?

    Thank you Anchorman! Much appreciated.

    Rust-proofing (Krown) question

Thanks for the feedback Anchorman. I am not concerned about the aesthetics so much as any issue that could surface from a poorly sealed hole. As you said the main thing is the cavity is now protected, which was necessary as it appears i am already getting some bubbling on the rear hatch below...

    Rust-proofing (Krown) question

yep. I'm wondering if there is any cause for concern with the plug hanging slightly over the edge. Hopefully the plugs will still create an air tight seal so that no water can penetrate the hole. Debating whether to return to Krown and make a complaint... doubtful they could do much anyways.

    Rust-proofing (Krown) question

After 4 Canadian winters I ended up taking my 2014 cx5 to Krown. They drilled several holes around each door frame, the suspect ones for me are on the lift gate. I don't like the fact the hole and plug are outside the rubber seal and the angle of the plugs across the seam, however there...

    Rust-proofing (Krown) question

Sorry meant weight of the car, not balance. From the OP

    Rust-proofing (Krown) question

Thanks Anchorman. Yours looks well protected. Maybe I'll take the plunge and get it protected, will probably take it to Krown. I am just nervous about some things I've read online regarding clogging drain holes and altering the balance of the car. Planning to keep it for another 6 years or...

    Rust-proofing (Krown) question

2014 CX-5 here. After 4 winters this is how the underside looks. How bad does the rusting appear to be? Should i rush out and get a Krown application this year? From what I have read it should slow the spread of rust... Or is this just surface rust and no cause for concern? thanks

Help me pick a winter tire

I did a lot of research. Consumer reports listed the dmv's as one of the best small truck winters, however the cx5 isn't really that big so I went with the WS70's. Check out Simply Tire in Toronto, the owner also recommended these tires. I got them with Rims. There is usually a group buy on...

Help me pick a winter tire

I am sure no one wants to think about winter at this time of the year. However I have been meaning to update this thread for a while now. In the end after much research I ended up purchasing a full set of Bridgestone Blizzak WS70 tires for my CX5. These tires performed phenomenally this past...

    Baby Seats in CX-5

I am just thankful I have a petite wife (5'2") or else I'd never be able to fit a RF car seat in the CX5. We have the peg 30-30 and it fits fine behind the passenger seat with my wife quite a bit forward but comfortable. No way and I mean no way would it fit behind me being 6'4". I tried...
