Thank you. I'll have to bookmark that walkthrough... very nice. maybe one day i'll pull the plug and splurge on an aftermarket for something that blows my mind and melts my face, but for now the stock just works.

Google Play music? That works for me. The first song never seems to get it's info displayed, but the following tracks work ok. I do have some trouble with Rhapsody, though. The opposite of google music. The first song displays properly, but the time continues throughout all following tracks.

So, like most everyone here, I'm pretty fed up with the OEM headunit (2015 Touring - Bose, no navigation). I'm thinking about toying with the idea of upgrading to the pioneer NEX 4100. This is the one with resistive touch screen and no built in Navigation. $700 bucks is still pretty expensive...

I don't understand the secrecy. 1.5K under MSRP isn't exactly a mind blowing deal... i think the dealer was working you to make it seem like you were getting away with something.

Do you have music stored on an SD card? Android phones don't work like iPhones with radios. The radio is only able to read what's on an external storage and treats it just like a USB drive. I think maybe the Lollipop update might allow for music to go over the USB, but I'm not sure. My Moto X...

I download the phone book every time and still whenever anyone calls me, it comes on the screen as just the number. even my wife, my only number i have stored in the speed dial... bottom line... this headunit sucks donkey balls.

What do you think the chances are that the updated headunit in the 2016 model will be easily swappable? On mazdagear.com they are selling the current crappy one for ~$500. I'd imagine once the new ones are out, they will have them available there. I'm guessing it'll answer the problem of losing...
