Is there a way for me to check the offset acuratly and is seven inch the widest I can go on a rim with out it looking stupid r faring apart my wheel well I really am leaning towords those phat cats but I can't see anything on the rim to show its offset

I have a p5 that was burning a litre of oil every three days. Soo I decided to drop a new engine in her and I went from Fs9 to Fs6 and I noticed my vvt is not working on my new engine. Can u guys help me locate the silinoid so can check for any loose wires or anything that can stop it from working
