Construction looks similar, though the design is definitely different. Way back when I purchased this piece, it was the generic design of it that appealed to me. I didn't want pieces all over the car with "CX-5" all over it.

Jiffy lube left the 3'x4' plastic air dam off the bottom of my Vw jetta years ago. When i went back to find it they took me to the room of misfit/forgotten parts. I felt that was pretty sad, so I start ed doing my own light maintenance.

If the remote is on your body the lift gate will never seem locked. Go in the house, push the lock button twice, hear the lock honk, leave the remote in the house. Now go outside and try to unlock the liftgate, it should be locked, if not, it is not working correctly. Good luck.

There is a rather extensive sequence of button pushing that would allow for you to have control of the daytime running lights. I don't know if that would allow you to accomplish what you want. If you search for "turning off the daytime running lights", you should find it.

I think you would be lucky to get half that number. I know you will want some explanation as to how I came up with that statement. My gut tells me things, sometimes I listen, sometimes I don't. It is usually right.

Twist the odometer reset post/knob counter clockwise. I would bet that it is twisted to the full bright position. the quick way to turn the interior to night mode, is to turn on the headlights.

Yes, they are always on. Now you have the new dilemma of needing to lock your car doors. Or put another lock on your interior,to house, garage door.

Mine has been in there for two years. my main fob battery died after 2 years, so I changed all of them. No fires so far. Go run a test for yourself.
