Need help identifying a part and possible fix

So I hit a pot hole or something pretty hard and my rear passenger tire area started making a real bad clanking noise anytime I go over a small bump. So I decided to prop it up and look into it and found the below issue. So my question is can this be welded back into to place or is this a game ender? (Just my daily driver car nothing special) Im not mechanically savy past normal fixes like oil tire and spark plugs so I'm asking instead of assuming.

It might be able to be welded if the rust isn't too bad.
You've got to have something solid to weld to.
They may be able to beef up the whole area.

It's worth taking to a body shop to see what they think.

Looks like you've got a bent trailing arm too.

I had a similar problem at the same spot.
My t-stand punched right into that bracket.
It is the proper spot for the t-stand but it was so rusted it collapsed.

They welded a plate across the two areas to reinforce it.

I think it cost me around $200.

That's not too bad it's either that or a replacement starter on a VW I'd rather just fox this car thank you
